  • In 2015-2016, Cornell Greeks raised over $350,000 for philanthropies, both local and national.

  • Cornell Greeks completed over 21,000 community service hours in 2015-2016.

  • Cornell IFC has strong community partnerships with a number of local humanitarian organizations, including Ithaca Welcomes Refugees, YMCA, Boys & Girls Club of Ithaca, Ithaca ReUse Center, and Ithaca Children's Garden.

  • On average, it is more affordable to live in a fraternity home than it is to live in a residence hall or in a Collegetown apartment.

  • Fraternity house amenities include in-house private libraries, 24/7 access to a full kitchen and private chef, gyms and weight rooms, outdoor spaces, TV rooms and common areas, free laundry and more.

  • Cornell's New Member Education program is a national model for fraternity growth and success.

  • Cornell was the first University to inspire the nation to "end hazing as we know it" and we are proud of this national influence.

  • Academic support is central facet of fraternity life. Brothers often form study groups together, share study tips with one another, and give helpful suggestions during course selections.

  • Fraternities sponsor unique professional development opportunities. By joining fraternities, members gain vast networks and are invited to attend exclusive IFC professional events.

  • A majority of fraternity members land internships and jobs from fellow alumni brothers.

  • Cornell's fraternity community boasts two agricultural fraternities: Alpha Gamma Rho and Alpha Zeta.

  • The IFC, as well as many local and national IFC fraternities, sponsor students' membership dues through a variety of scholarships and grants, both needs- and merit-based. Hundreds of students are sponsored each year.

  • As a member of a fraternity, you'll have countless opportunities to expand your perspective and meet people from different backgrounds, all with unique experiences. Through partnerships with Haven: The LGBTQ Student Union, Black Students United, and other cultural groups, we are proud to give our fraternity members the opportunity to expand their cultural perspectives.

  • All fraternities have Health & Wellness Chairs, students trained by the University to act as a resource and support system for students struggling with mental illness.

  • Many members of the IFC community are involved in Greeks Go Green, a student organization committed to ensuring sustainability in our fraternities and sororities.

  • Safety is of the utmost importance to fraternity members. Every year, all members are trained in consent education and sexual violence prevention, alcohol and drug safety, and risk and event management.

  • Brothers always have one another's backs. You can always count on a fraternity member for support & guidance

  • Many fraternity members are active in performing and media arts groups, from dance troupes and a cappella groups, to literary magazines and film clubs.

  • The IFC Intramural Athletics League is a vibrant facet of fraternity life. From inner-tube water polo to basketball, playing intramural sports with your brothers is a great way to exercise, have fun, and meet students in other chapters.
